Shane Scally

I am a UX/UI Designer who has a flair for creative problem
solving and all things UX.

I have a BSc in Product Design and Technology from the University of Limerick and an MA in Interaction Design from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin. I have worked in agency environments and large scale businesses, as well as working in a product focused IoT company.

I apply an iterative design process to all of my work. I am experienced in User research and really enjoy working with researchers and talking to users to try and understand their problems. I apply various UX practices in my work in order to extract meaningful insights. These methodologies and techniques are showcased throughout my portfolio.

My goal is to apply my skills as a UX/UI Designer in different industries and working my way up to leading a team of UX designers and eventually owning and shaping the UX vision of a company.

About me

I am an experienced Senior UX/UI Designer seeking opportunities working on exciting customer facing projects. I see myself as a creative problem solver and a strong communicator of how UX can benefit a company in all aspects. I have a strong interest in UX and Interaction design trends and really enjoy working closely with researchers and optimisation specialists.

I am an active member in the UX community and I was previously involved in the running of UX Network Galway’s monthly Meetup events. I have previously taken part in panel discussion at UX Network Galway event's where I talked about 'A Day in the Life of a UX Designer" with designers from Cisco and Fidelity Insurance.
